Jerry Shen established the iMotion Group in 2019, along with the flagship’s first subsidiary company iWaylink, to focus all efforts on expanding and diversifying the IPC industry, to enter into the Mobile IPC market which is on the verge of taking flight and to fully grasp the emerging business opportunities connected to AIPC. Mr. Shen firmly believes that the most important aspect of business is customer happiness and experience, which is why iMotion has been tasked to give customers the most innovative and agile comprehensive IPC solutions and to ensure they will have a captivating smart life and feeling of well-being.

Before establishing the iMotion Group, Mr. Shen was the CEO of ASUS for ten years where he exemplified boundless passion for technology and outstanding leadership abilities that not only helped guide ASUS through countless transformations, but also lead the company to producing many revolutionary innovations and strategies that achieved impressive market success such as: steering the development of the ASUS motherboard “Giant Lion” strategy, guiding the creation of the revolutionary Eee PC netbook, pioneering the first 2-in-1 Transformer Pad, launching the Nexus 7 tablet in cooperation with Google, expediting the development of the Windows 7 Touch ecosystem and fathering the creation of the company’s empowering luxury ZenFone series designed for the masses to enjoy.

Mr. Shen believes that the destiny and mission of technology enthusiasts is to constantly innovate and make new breakthroughs. Only innovation can change destinies and only breakthroughs can successfully complete one’s mission. It takes both to be able to make people’s lives more prosperous and meaningful. It’s this belief that inspired Mr. Shen to invest in this new business and take a giant leap from an executive position at a large corporation to an entrepreneurial role at a small company. For entrepreneurs to be successful, Mr. Shen asserts they need two “strengths”—ability and hard work, and two “energies”—courage and luck. At the same time, successful entrepreneurs need conviction to turn “small” into “smart”, or in other words, transform their small companies into skilled companies that operate on smart technique and smart resource utilization. Mr. Shen chose to become an entrepreneur with the hopes to establish a new model for entrepreneurism, consolidate more resources towards the IPC industry and establish more career opportunities for the talented youth in Taiwan.

Mr. Shen has very precise insights on industry trends and he anticipates that due to the evolution of the computing industry, mobile IPC will become the next megatrend in the IPC industry and it is also the next step towards AIPC. He is determined to put all efforts towards the development of AIPC and will make sure iMotion can realize this evolved mission of the IPC industry.

Mr. Shen possesses the mindset of an engineer who focuses on the fundamentals and results, and the spirit of an entrepreneur who insists on lean thinking. He embraces the desire for public good, regardless of his self-interest, believes that team goals are the most important, and passionately works to create win-win situations for the company and its customers. In addition, Mr. Shen is very modest and open minded, relentless in pursuing new knowledge, and enjoys expanding his breadth of mind which he has recently been studying vocal music and art. He believes these kind of personal explorations generate new sources of innovative thinking and inspiration for new aesthetic designs that can be applied to product development and ultimately give users completely new services and experiences.
